PVP access kit - Guild Wars Forums

k so i want to start playing guild wars, but i want to do mostly pvp if not all pvp. Can i just order the pvp access kit to start playing? or do i also have to purchase one of the expansions?

I believe it gives you access to only PvP areas of the game, and allows you to create a character and gives you unlocks.

all 3 games (10 professions) etc.

It just excludes all PvE content

You can then use the skill and item unlock packs to make yourself UAX, or just play regularly and unlock the old fashion way

no the kit only gives you 60 unlocks, you will need to play and unlock via Balthazar Faction, or use the skill unlock packs (also on the NCsoft Store Site)

And by what I have read, you will not need any version of the game to play, purchasing the full game gives you access to PvE content, this pack only grants you access to PvP zones

The PvP Access Kit gives you access (doesn't automatically unlock) to all skills in Guild Wars except for PvE-only skills. You have access to all PvP arenas with the exception of the Starter Arenas (e.g. Sunspear Arena). It runs independent of all other campaigns. The only thing you cannot do is create a guild but you may join one. I think that's all of the caveats.

k ive got 1 more question. I just purchased the pvp access kit and was planning on making a dervish/warrior. To get that second profession do i need to purchase one of the actual campaigns?

you should have all combination of professions available, it would make no sense (especially since Warrior is a core profession anyways)

Yes, you have access to all content (inc. all professions) except for PvE-related stuff like access to the other continents, PvE-only skills, etc.
